SYMPATHY by Fiza's Blog

We are living in an era where most of the people meet their relatives even when they are in an acute ailment or when they are dead. Although technology is bringing us too far in every aspect of life, it is making us cold toward the world and the people who really matter.

Now, most of us are much caring to our friends than to our siblings and family. But it can be said that it happens mostly in cities where men and women are so busy with their work that they don’t have time for their kids and their loved ones. Also, some women who stay at home develop a sole friendship with their neighbours. But it is not possible for all women.

Well, the point to ponder here is that now people have started trusting their friends (mostly on social media) more than their families; who are the ones they should trust first. People’s priorities have changed. Their analysis abilities have been modified. Their beauty doesn’t lie on their words and in their hearts but on how much technology they have. The more gadgets you have, the more sophisticated and modern you will be considered.

What is this? Bringing in something is not bad but makes yourself dependent on it and forget those who should matter to you is an adverse event.

There was a time when people were close only to their families and relatives. Now is the time when people are close to everyone except those with whom they should be. Perhaps that is the reason why adults call that time as ‘Golden Era’.
Today, people have started recognizing others through their status and likewise, everyone is endeavouring to get an elegant status in society. I believe status is just a glimpse of how you mind the things around you.

For some, a big spacious house represents a good status, while for some giving respect and showing good manners is the status of that person (that’s the best one I think). Also, I’ve known very few people who prefer respect over love. And they are the most precious people in the world. Respect for family and love for friends. How balanced it seems. It’s not an impossible or hard thing.

Anyways, developing sympathy with others is also a skill, I think. There are some people around you who you hate naturally without any reason.

And it’s hard to develop sympathy for them. You show them love and even respect them not by heart but upon your honour. Even when you talk to them through any digital device, you have to send them healthy lovely messages and emojis just to keep your image good. Tantalizing, isn’t it?

But whatever you may feel just don’t let others feel bad. This life is not as long as you consider it to be. Care for your relatives, neighbours, staff and other people. We are owned by a great blessing of social media, so we can stay connected to everyone we know, without much expense of travel and sending letters. Think about it and use your energy in the right place. Ralph Waldo said, “The only person you are destined to become is the one you decide to be”.
