Spending too long on social networking sites could be adversely affecting your mood. In fact, you are more likely to report poor mental health, including symptoms of anxiety and depression. The recommended amount of time you should spend on social networks is half an hour per day. So, as with so many things in life, it's all about moderation. 2. Cyberbullying: Before social media, bu

There is something which is given to us by Almighty in limited quantity "Time" in life is one of them as well. As in our daily life, we may listen to such type of words from elders, parents and teachers which are "You are very careless about time", "You are wasting your time", "You don't respect time" and "Be punctual." These are some of the words that are often in use but beyond that, the matter of the discussion is how and why is time important? Time is the most important thing we have got in our life. It never stops. Neither you nor I can stop it for a while nor can we put it back even for a second. From birth to death we have got limited time to achieve our desired goals. The problem is that the time, given to us, is short and fast but our matters are numerous and sometimes they become countless. MY LOST SISTER: OUR PASTS by Fiza's Blog

I found myself sitting in my house on the sofa with my lost sister who used to be my bully. Both of us were looking down while my step-parents were looking at us. There was dead silence in the room. “How do you know that you are Nancy little sister?” My step-mother asked Ivy-I mean Isabella. “I overheard my parents’ conversation, last Saturday. I wasn’t eavesdropping…I just heard it while I was getting some water for myself.” She said while composing herself. “Do you have it? The recording…Do you have it now?” I asked her. “Yeah…But it has only half of the convo.” “Never mind.” Me and my step-parents said while shrugging our shoulders in unison. She switched on her phone. Just then her phone started ringing but she declined the call. “Who is it?” My dad asked. “My step-parents.” She replied. “Answer it.” Mom said. “No.” She said coldly. “B-But why?” This time I spoke. She turned to me. “H-How can I t-talk to t-them? T-They killed o-our pa-parents.” She said in a weak l

Every day is a new beginning for us. It is up to us how we utilize our time and resources. While it is imperative to have a goal, how to achieve this goal is also important. To succeed you need to have a plan and have the courage to follow it. This article looks at some points you can use to achieve success. Think-Plan-Act: Follow a Think-Plan-Act rule in your life no matter what kind of plans you are making. This goes for making a daily plan or long-term plans (that are spread over more than a year). First, brainstorm to write down what you want to achieve. Write down everything you aim at achieving. Then create a plan of how you will achieve it. Once you have a plan, it will be easy for you to act upon it. For instance, your goal is to read five in the next 6 months. First, select the five books you want to read. Then choose how you will get those books. You will save your pocket money to buy one book and follow the same rule to buy the other. You can also borrow the book f

During the ninth month of the Islamic calendar, which is based on the faces of the Moon, Muslims around the world celebrate Ramadan, a holy month of fasting and spiritual reflections. The fasting period begins at a different time each year based on the Moon cycles. It is a time when all Muslims practice self-restraint through fasting and abstinence.
